Machine Tool Rebuilding

Rebuilding Rebuilding Rebuild

This applies to all customers owning a quality machine tool, that over the years has lost it's original accuracy and is failing to meet the standards required for the customer's production needs, resulting in loss of production and extra maintenance costs.

Conventional Machine Tools

These can be fully rebuilt back to original standards of accuracy, reconditioning/replacing components such as slideways, gears and bearings etc. The quoting process would include a site visit to inspect and discuss the machine's requirements and agree a course of action with the customer. Upon arrival at the works the machine would be stripped into component parts and a full inspection carried out. At this point any sub-standard items not included in the original quotation would be reported to the customer and a decision made.

Above examples are ‘before’ and ‘after’ of a Waldrich Siegen Grinder, approximately 27 metres bed length. It was removed by our service department and shipped in manageable loads to the works.

The machine was fully rebuilt and retrofitted with a Fanuc 18TB control which enabled the machine to carry out “Camber Grinding”.

After completion the machine was re-positioned at the customer’s site and commissioned.
